Makers' Marks

Alana of Ravenwood signs an AR joined and/or a raven volant sinister (in flight to the scroll's left)

Alessandra Bentvegna da Faenza (known as Yasmina)uses a small hand fan with three baubles and/or a tassle

Alheydis von Körckhingen uses a letter A with a small crescent moon below the crossbar of the A...sort of like Dürer's nested initials.

Ardal of Antioch does not use a makers' mark at present.

Arianna of Winthrope has within her designs her initials, A within a W.

Aralyn Thorgrimsdottir used various permutations of an italic AT until she changed her first name to Geirny.

Bridget de Kyrkland  uses a  marker of a capital BK  toughing at  the bottom of her  works

Bryn ni mac Rose uses a rampant ant

Cadell Blaidd Du makes the final period of the scroll into a tiny black hour glass.

Christofano Vecchione has 3 small black sailing ships.

Mistress Daedra McBeth a Gryphon uses as her Maker's Mark a heart on the palm of an open hand

Dorinda Courtenay sometimes includes a small cross bottony, usually near the lower right hand corner.  For the 14th century scrolls it is usually filled in with gold so it hides in the leaves

Eibhlin ni Chaoimh had a letter E connected to an acanthus leaf .... usually found in the bottom right corner of my illuminations.until she changed her name and persona to Yvianne de Castel d'Avignon and thus has a letter Y.

Eldjarn of Thescorre uses as his maker's mark a barbed trident

Elisiff Flakkari (since changed personas to She'erah) used part of her heraldic device, a two headed wyvern displayed.

Faelinn de Caersaidh adds a small eye to her designs.

Geirny Thorgrimsdottir has used her armigerous harpy on some scrolls, signed her name, signed her original name (Aralyn), used the initials AT (for her original name), and used the initials GT.

Georg Anne has a frog.

Graidhne ni Ruaidh adds hearts and triquetras to her work, usually in the line enders or rubrication.

Gwendolyn the Graceful adds to her works the initials GTG

Jon Blaecstan has a Blue Cross on top of a black shamrock

Katerina Affodil has a daffodil in evidence somewhere on her scrolls.

Katriona of the Groves has a tiny cat's pawprint.

Khazi bint Hakim uses a crecsent (the upturned heraldic one) - this changed to a small dragon when she changed her name to Collette de Paris.

Kris Gilibari signs and copyrights her work, sometimes using "me fecit."

Matilda Bosvyle de Bella Acqua has upon her works a rabbit running to the left

Mea the Bold has a smiley face, usually in the bottom right corner.

Morwenna uses a small triskellion

Pavla de la Satu Mare uses the initials ZM (for Zot Mar the Slavic form of her name), sometimes in the white work, sometimes in the scroll work, or werever unobtrusive.

Pleasance de Cognieres uses the 'mousetrap game' mouse with the tail curled up and around to form a "P".

Portia de Sancto Lucianno has as her maker's mark a rose beside a bull hoofprint

Roberta McMorland uses a spider formed from two "R"s.

Roxane the Tempting had a black feather evident upon her works.  (nee Ruardhri Blackfeather)

Sarra Moore incorporates a little split-tailed swallow into her illuminations, usually yellow, but other colors if the design demands it.

S. Lovechild uses an incredibly tiny representation of her badge, which is a vol (conjoined wings) divided qurterly withpaly bendy and some other itty bitty field treatment.  It's microscopic.

She'erah bat Shlomo uses the Hebrew letter shin.  (nee Elisiff Flakkari)

Talisidhe of the Greene Woode has a fairy hiding in her illuminations.

Una de St. Luc has as her maker's mark is a snail.

Yvianne de Castel d'Avignon has a letter Y connected to an acanthus leaf .... usually found in the bottom right corner of my illuminations.   (It used to be an E when she went by Eibhlin ni Chaoimh)
